Amenities: A great oceanfront choice! We awake in our comfortable bed, and open the balcony door to the Atlantic's natural rhythm, waves caressing the shore with a few walkers already enjoying the hard-caked sand below. Coffee in hand, I sit upon a white rocker, absorbing the sun's rays, a relief after driving through yesterday's snow storm.
I relish the panoramic view of the Grand Strand that stretches endlessly both north and south. I have just opened our private 11th floor balcony glass door. The Hampton Inn and Suites Oceanfront is an upscale beach house-themed hotel featuring 227 rooms and suites. We occupy a spacious and inviting two-room ‘Family Suite’ with bunk beds set in the children’s room and a full kitchen to help alleviate costs.
Bathroom: Attractive and fully equipped.
Decor: The suite is bright yet relaxing with a nautical motif that befits the beach.
Balcony: Yes and what a view!
Hotel Features & History: The parking is free. We really enjoyed this hotel; stayed for four nights and would happily return. There are swimming pools and an exercise room.

Nearby Attractions: The beach is ideally close for walks. Soak up some rays and go swimming, boating, or fishing on the beach just steps from this oceanfront hotel in Myrtle Beach. Enjoy a visit to one of the Grand Strand's many attractions, including the Ripley's Aquarium, the Myrtle Waves Waterpark, and the T.I.G.E.R.S. Preserve Wild Encounter Tour. Explore Broadway at the Beach, with over one hundred shops, restaurants, and attractions within minutes of this Myrtle Beach hotel. Delve into history at the Myrtle Beach Civil War Collection or the Nostalgia City & Museum, or take the kids to the Children's Museum of South Carolina. Enjoy art and culture at the legendary Brookgreen Gardens, the Carolina Opry, the Alabama Theater, or the Franklin G. Burroughs-Simeon B. Chapin Art Museum.
Room Cost: Range $209-$229
Room Tip or Suggestion: The Family Suite ocean-side is perfect for children with a bunk bed, nautical decor and a round window emulating a port hole. We loved our oceanfront room.
