Bed & Breakfasts

  • Local Attractions: Hosts know the special attractions and activities available, as well as the ins and outs of the local tourism scene. Ask about tours that they recommend as well as value for money opportunities. We have been guided to local artisans based upon materials viewed at the B&B.

  • Respect: You are staying in someone's home so respect their unique furniture, linens, bedding and the like. Most offer complimentary refreshments or a fridge in a common area, but do not eat in your room. Your hosts will inform you of all there is to do in the area, supply you with maps, brochures and restaurant menus or make dinner and tour reservations.

  • Breakfast: Most hosts like to cook, so breakfast is special. It's also an opportunity to meet and greet fellow travelers. Some B&B's accommodate special dietary requests, but it is wise to ask when making your reservation.

  • Children: Are infrequent guests at a B&B. Most arrive at a B&B, looking for peace and quiet. Ask if unsure.
