Fonthill's Bandshell Thursday Night Concerts
Fonthill's Bandshell Concert Series celebrates its sixth season this year, and along with friends from Welland, we listened to Bernie Jessom perform his high-pitched Roy Orbison tribute amidst a huge, appreciative crowd gathered (packed) in Fonthill's town centre.
The 7-9 pm Thursday concert has become a popular three-month event for both Fonthill residents and Niagara visitors. More than 1,000 spectators regularly surround the bandshell with their lawn chairs that inevitably spill out onto Pelham Town Square sidewalks, to enjoy a wide range of musical styles and performances.
